Terms, refunds & privacy

Digital Blueprint is an assumed name of Just 1 Bite LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("we", "us"). These terms apply to the websites, hosting and monthly care plans we provide ("services") to you, the business that hires us ("you").

Terms of service

1. Free preview

We may build a preview of a new website for your business at no cost. You are under no obligation to buy it. If you don't go ahead, we take the preview down. The preview, its design and its code stay ours until you pay for the website in full.

2. Website build

• The website is $650, billed in two phases, each as its own line on your invoice:
  • Phase 1: Discovery & design, $325, due to start. Planning calls, a sitemap and page plan, and page layouts (mockups) sent to you as a PDF for your approval. No working website is built or delivered in this phase. No sales tax on this phase.
  • Phase 2: Website development & launch, $325, due before the site goes live. Building, programming, content setup and launch of your website. Texas sales tax applies to this phase only (6.6%, which is $21.45).
• The free preview in section 1 is a free sample. It is not part of either phase and is not billed.
• The build includes 2 rounds of changes before launch, up to 10 changes in total. One change is one specific edit, like swapping a photo, rewording a paragraph, changing a color or moving a section.
• Send each round as one list within 7 days of seeing the site. We make the changes within 3 business days. If we don't hear from you for 14 days, the site counts as approved and the final payment is due.
• Changes beyond the 10 are $30 each. New pages, a new layout or new features are quoted before we start them.
• You give us your business information, photos, logos and text, and you confirm you have the right to use them. We use them only to build and run your website.

3. Monthly plans

• Monthly plans (Hosting only, Basic care and Pro care) start on the day your site goes live and are billed automatically each month in advance.
• Each plan includes the changes listed on our pricing section. Changes are done within 3 business days of your request. Unused changes don't carry over to the next month.
• Changes beyond your plan are $30 each. New pages, redesigns and new features are quoted separately.
• You can switch plans at any time. The new price starts on your next billing date.
• Every website on our hosting needs at least the Hosting only plan, including while you're on a payment plan.

4. Payments

• We accept bank transfer (ACH), debit cards and credit cards through our payment processor, Stripe. Payment details go straight to Stripe; we never see or store your full card or bank number.
• Credit card payments may include a processing fee of up to 3%, shown before you pay. Bank transfers and debit cards have no extra fee.
• Invoices are due within 7 days. If a monthly payment is more than 15 days late, we may pause the website until it's paid.
• Late fee: any payment (website, monthly plan or payment plan) that is more than 5 days late has a $25 late fee added.

5. Payment plans

• Instead of paying Phase 1 to start and Phase 2 before launch, you can ask for a payment plan for the website build:
  • 2 months, no extra cost: $650. $260 to start, then $195 at 30 days and $195 at 60 days.
  • 4 months: $750, including a $100 payment plan fee. $150 to start, then $200 a month for 3 months.
  • 6 months (the longest): $850, including a $200 payment plan fee. $100 to start, then $150 a month for 5 months.
  Payments are applied to Phase 1 first ($325, no sales tax), then to Phase 2 (Texas sales tax of 6.6% applies to the Phase 2 part). Your monthly plan is billed separately and is plus sales tax where it applies.
• The first payment is due before work starts. Payments are charged automatically to the card or bank account you save with Stripe.
• The site launches after the first payment on the 2-month plan, and after the second payment on the 4- and 6-month plans.
• You can pay off the rest early at any time. The payment plan fee isn't refunded.
• Until every payment is made, the website, its design and its code belong to Digital Blueprint and stay on our hosting. We don't hand over the website files or move the hosting until the website is paid in full.
• If a payment-plan payment is missed or late, we may take the website offline at any time, without further notice, until the account is caught up. Payments already made aren't refunded.
• Your web address (domain) stays yours either way.

6. Hosting it yourself

• You can host your website yourself once it's paid in full. Until then it stays on our hosting.
• Your website is custom-coded (HTML, CSS and JavaScript files). It only works with hosting that lets you upload your own website files, such as Hostinger, GoDaddy Web Hosting, Bluehost, SiteGround, Netlify or Cloudflare Pages.
• It does not work with website builders like Wix, Squarespace, Weebly, Shopify or the GoDaddy Website Builder. Those only run sites made inside their own editor, so moving there would mean rebuilding the site from scratch, which isn't included.
• We can send you a copy of your website files for free, or set it up on your hosting for a one-time $100 setup fee (uploading the files, connecting your domain, turning on the security certificate and testing it).
• Some features, like contact forms, booking links and photo uploads, use outside services. During setup we move those to your own accounts.
• Once you host it yourself, there's no monthly plan: changes are $30 each (bigger work is quoted), and we'll need a login to your hosting to make them. Keeping your hosting, domain and security certificate paid and working is your responsibility, and fixing problems with your hosting is billed work.
• Changed your mind? You can move back to our hosting at any time by choosing a monthly plan. The $100 setup fee is not refundable. If the site was edited while you hosted it yourself, we check it first, and fixing changes made by others is quoted before we start.

7. Ownership

• Your web address (domain) is always yours. We register it in your name or help you do so.
• Once the website build is paid in full, the finished website design and content are yours. Until then, the site stays on our hosting, and it goes live on your web address only after the final payment (or, on a payment plan, after the payments listed in section 5).
• We may show your finished website in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.

8. Hosting and uptime

We host your site with a reputable hosting provider, keep its security certificate active and keep a backup copy. We work to keep your site online, but we can't guarantee it will never be down, for example during provider outages or maintenance.

9. Search results

We build every site so search engines like Google can find and understand it, and we can help set up your Google Business Profile. No one controls search rankings, so we don't guarantee any position in search results.

10. Limits

To the extent allowed by law, our total responsibility for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. We aren't responsible for lost profits or indirect losses, or for problems caused by third-party services such as hosting providers, booking tools or payment processors.

Edits by others: we aren't responsible for problems caused by changes that you, another developer or anyone else makes to your website's files, code or hosting. If someone else's changes break the site, we check it first and give you a price to fix it before we start.

11. Changes and law

We may update these terms and will post the new date at the top of this page. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.

Refunds & cancellation

Website build

• The preview is free, so you see your website before paying anything.
• You can cancel within 3 days of paying the deposit for a full refund, as long as we haven't started your changes. After work begins, the deposit isn't refundable.
• The final payment is due before launch and isn't refundable once the site is live.
• Payment-plan payments already made aren't refundable.
• The $100 self-hosting setup fee isn't refundable, even if you move back to our hosting later.

Monthly plans

• Cancel anytime from your billing page or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you've already paid for. We don't refund partial months.
• If you cancel hosting, we'll take the site offline at the end of your paid month. If your build is paid in full, we'll send you a copy of your website files on request so you can host it elsewhere.

Mistakes

If we charged you by mistake, contact us and we'll refund it in full.

Privacy

• What we collect: what you send us through our free preview form and questionnaire (your name, business, website, email, phone, answers, and any logo or photos you upload) and the information you give us to build your site.
• How we use it: only to reply to you, build your preview and website, and bill you. We don't sell or rent your information.
• Who helps us: our form service (Web3Forms) delivers form messages to our inbox, Cloudinary stores the logo and photos you upload, our hosting provider stores the website, and Stripe processes payments. Each handles data under its own privacy policy.
• Your choices: ask us at any time to see, correct or delete the information we have about you.
• This website doesn't use advertising trackers.
